THE MASS - THE HOLY EUCHARIST
The main purpose of any parish is to celebrate the mystery of Christ's Death and Resurrection - we call this the celebration of Holy Mass. The Mass is the central liturgical celebration in our parish, in fact, the Mass is “the sources and summit of the Christian life”. It is called the “Mass” because of the Latin dismissal at the end of Mass “Ite, missa est”, which basically means “Go; it is the dismissal”. However, it is not just a normal dismissal, it implies a “mission” to go out into the world, strengthened by the Eucharist.
