For us, here in Saint Peter’s, our primary source of income is the weekly envelope collection. Some people pay their envelopes every week, others like to pay once a month, and others pay once or twice per year. That is fine – you do what is most convenient for you. However, we only distribute about 150 boxes of envelopes per year. This is a minimal number when seen in the broader context of how many families are actually living in the parish. It would be great if as many as possible could contribute to the running costs of the church.

You can also pay by direct debit, or by paying directly into our bank account when you have the means to do so. You will find our banking details on this page.

At the end of each month, when I pay the bills, I often think of the American song “When the Saints go marching in” but feel like singing instead “When the Bills go marching in!” Then I look at the contributions for that month and wish more people would sing “I want to be in that number!” Please let me know if you would like to be registered to receive your envelopes.
