The logo for this project “Walk in my Shoes”, is a simple footprint, but if you look carefully you will see that it is the image of Jesus who bows down to carry children on his back

WALK IN MY SHOES
As Christians, we must share with those who have nothing, assist those in need and combat injustice no matter where it raises its ugly head. During Lent we think especially about what Jesus tells us to do in order to defeat evil, sin and injustice. He tells us to 1. pray, 2. fast 3. give alms. These three elements must be prevalent in every Christian's life. Having worked many years in South Africa, I have seen how people suffer due to injustice and poverty. Therefore, this Lent I decided to help a special school that has a special place in my heart – Blomvlei Primary School is in Cape Town, South Africa.
The purpose of this project, "Walk in My Shoes" is to to raise money to buy shoes for the poorest children living in Hanover Park who attend Blomvlei Primary School. All money raised for this project will go directly to the school, with zero administration costs, as I will pay all these costs personally. I spent many years working in South Africa and the people of Africa have a very special place in my heart.
On the following pages, you will find more information about this school, the area itself and the project. Thank you for your generosity and support!
