If you feel that God is calling you to one of these ministries, please don't hesitate to contact the parish office and speak to the priest.

MINISTRIES AND HELPERS

It is the vision of the Second Vatican Council that the members of each parish should be involved in the running of the parish and especially in the liturgical celebrations of the parish. There are many "ministries" to be done in each parish, e.g. parish council, cleaners, committees, music, flowers etc. In the liturgical life of the parish there are two important ministries - Readers (Lectors) and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

Readers

Reading the Sacred Word to the God's holy people is one of the greatest privileges a person can have. The Bible is the Living Word of God, and when this Word is spoken, heard and received, the Incarnate Word enters once again into our human nature, feeding us with the food of Truth.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Distributing the Sacred Body and Blood of Jesus to God's holy people reminds us that we are all members of the Mystical Body of Christ and partakers of His Divine Nature.

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labour is not in vain.”

1 Corinthians 15:58
